British Stoneworks’s proprietor Nick Blantern is a qualified architectural stone carver and stonemason with over 25 years of experience. He studied and trained as an apprentice stone carver and mason in Bristol, England, and has worked on several prestigious projects in England and around the US including Cleveland, Ohio, and California.

He perfected the craft of Stonemasonry restoring old English churches, government buildings, and castles, including work on Buckingham Palace and Caldicot Castle. His work in the US can be found at the Cleveland Museum of Art, Ohio, Santa Barbara County Courthouse, San Francisco City Hall, San Francisco Zoo, and various high-end residential projects.

Based in the Cleveland, Ohio area British Stoneworks LLC is dedicated to providing the highest quality hand-carved architectural stone details, stone masonry, brickwork, Limestone and sandstone fireplaces, and stone and brick restoration. We regard ourselves as specialists in the design and carving of natural stone, from traditional styles through all the main architectural periods combined with a well-respected and deep understanding of the restoration and conservation of our built heritage.

British Stoneworks partners with architects, designers, homeowners, and contractors to design and construct unique natural stone projects and hand-carved details. We are well equipped utilizing our experienced, skilled, and highly trained staff to provide advice and knowledge on all manner of stonework from project development, Stone design, Stonework shop drawings, engineering, attachment, and stonework construction through to completion.
